This is a fixed (pin) bridge banjola with two strings in the 5th course. The strings can be independenly capoed at the 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 7th, 10th, and 12th frets. It sounds like a guitar (without the 5th and 6th bass strings) but played in a banjo style.
