What a great finish. As much as I'd like to see it go to an underdog, Johnson deserved it for doing everything perfect. Good race overall, and some good crashes and great saves by Newman. Looks like Jr. is having a good year so far. Oh yeah, and WAY TO GO Joey!![]()

Shame Jr. couldn't have been in front on this one. He could use a good win. But he is improving , 2nd ain't bad. Micki

Johnson going over to Earnhardt and offering him the checkered flag was interesting...but even more interesting was Earnhardt's response... "I don't want it"
Since the cameras rolling, he took the flag.
These guys are way beyond the glory and ego trips... They're pro's and classy one's at that.

True. Jr. is a pro on restrickter plate racing, I figured out of hendrick's camp , he would have won this one. But he didn't do bad at all. Micki

Hi i watched them try to interview Dale before the race not a happy camper, and i got this bad feeling that he was not suppose to win if the chance came, and when he was offered the flag and turned it down i got a really bad feeling, sure hope i am wrong.Ron

I don't like the new way of racing at the "DEGA" and Daytona....This two car tango, tease or whatever you call it makes for boring racing. And what's up with the Hendrick guys? How come Jr. couldn't be pushed by Jimmy and Mark not pushing Jeff all the way to the end. Looks like Mark pulled off of Jeff before getting to the finish line. While Jr. pushed Jimmy into next weekends race. I smell something fishing. Could be the Lowes car was giving all those Lowes employees, that had their store tore up in the tornados, a little something to be happy about.

I don't like this kind of racing either. Jr. said on Saturday , he didn't like it, but he had to try on Sunday, it is not true racing I don't think. Micki

It's 'Dega and Daytona , it's a spectacle , it's kinda fun , then we get back to real racing.

Hi i have been involved in racing all my life and i have never seen racing like this, when you get three and four team cars they have the ability to dominate this kind of racing, and if they are lined up like Sundays race the outcome is almost a given if they don't wreck, the two team cars have little chance of winning. But the worse thing is the pusher in second place who might be the better car has no were to go but wreck, yes it might be a spectacle but in my eyes it sure is not racing at least not the way i was taught it.Ron
