So, I was looking at Frank Fords, Frets.com, and he says that there should be about 0.010" between the middle frets and the strings, when "mashing down" on the strings at the 1st and 19th frets. Is this the same measurement for a long neck when mashing down on the 1st and 22nd fret?

Hi Jon,
That's a good general guideline, and you might want to use that as a starting point. However, you might want to adjust your string height from there, depending on your playing style, string gauge, etc.
For example, I have My Gold Tone OT800-LN set at about .010 at the 15th fret. My strings are John Pearse mediums (standard set), and I play claw-style. A friend of mine doesn't like my setup at all, but he uses finger picks and prefers light-gauge strings.

Move the capo up one fret to the 4th. That is the same as moving the capo one fret on a shortneck, after that, all adjustments are the same, press down n the 22nd (25th) and see what you have.
