It looks authentic B&D to me.  Very Cool! But I'm no expert.  It will interesting to hear from others.....



One thing: it might be too early for the Oettinger to be original.  I don't know when they were first offered.

I did not read the questions at the bottom of the auction until now.  The seller says the serial number is: 14760 .  That number appears in Polle's database as being from 1924.  The description in the database says "#3 (Hybrid)" with "add-on" resonator.

Yes - this is for sure a Hybrid - put together of Silver Bell and Super parts - plus on top somehow altered/up-graded.



But - for sure spectacular - and perhaps even well sounding.

They really polished the resonator and tension hoop - compared to the tone ring.  I wonder if the gold plating remains...or of they buffed away down to brass.
