Hello people,



I hope somebody can help me out here.



I really need to know from you experts.



Is there a huge difference between a B & D Montana #4( silver Bell) and a B& D Sultana #1 ? If so what?



I really need to know pretty soon ,price wise,playing wise,investment wise etc.



Ill be happy to get some answers.

I wouldn't say huge difference; Montana 4 = holly (wood) and gold-plating with engravings, Sultana 1 = maple with nickel plating.  Same basic construction and silver bell tone rings.  I would expect a Montana #4 to be more expensive.  jim

Number 4 Montana should be in the 2,900 - 4,500 depending on condition. Number one Sultana should be in the 900.00 - 1,300 range. The range is depending on year and condition. Good luck!

I have no new Info about pricing...But...
I played a Montana this last weekend and I was surprised. (I have always been put off by the look of the plastic stuff.) But it played very very well and sounded excellent. I was visiting a friend in the SF area, as I had a gig..playing my "new" 1923 #3. I now own two of 'em. Offhand, I agree with Bjorn's comments.
