Thanks for all your hard work in figuring out so many songs from the original notated source.  I've ordered it and look forward to the CDs and the booklet (which, by the way, looks very professional).  Would you say that a few or several of these tunes have branches (or roots) in the Appalachian style fiddle tunes?  Can you list any specific tunes in this category?

More learning and hard work for me.  Oh boy!

Oh yes, thanks. I sort of keep them separate. Not much Early Banjo action in the store these days. Much more Taylor Swift and Green Day.

For those unacquainted, Tim is one of today's leading Early Banjoists.
His efforts and output regarding making this fabulous tradition more accessible
to the modern player are monumental.

Anyone interested in early banjo (minstrel, stroke, guitar-style, etc.) would be well
advised to peruse Tim's site.
