This is an unedited test recording (a little reverb added) of two pieces from Bach's cello suites, played on a Gold Tone cello banjo. Hope you like them.
The recordings will accompany a Mel Bay book of the first three cello suites by Bach, arranged for the tenor banjo. The tab can be played on all tenor banjos in either Standard or so-called Irish tuning. However, the CD accompanying the book will be recorded on three different banjos - two tenors and one cello, a suite each. More on that later when the book is published.
In the meantime:

I see yet another Mel Bay book/CD on my shelf in the future.

Sounds awesome Rob! I see you are using a pick but I also hear multiple notes in some places. Can you please describe the technique you're using?
Thanks,
- Ric

Hi Richard. Nothing special - just play every note with the pick. Sometimes there are two, three or four-note chords, which I just play with a normal downstroke with a pick. This evening I have read through the same pieces with fingerstyle, but I think it sounds better with a pick.

Very nice, Rob. The GT Cello Banjo is one of my favorite instruments and Bach sounds great on it (as do you!)
