yes hi. i bought a 1993 rb1 seagull inlay last year that was supposedly owned by Ralph Stanley. it is ser. #93-001. would you know anything about that? i recently bought a sullivan cryogenis tone ring and turned the rim to fit perfectly.. it sounds amazing . im on you tube with it but the sound quality is very poor on the video. thanks! sincerely rich favretto

Richard. That's an unusual serial number for a re-issue, most are of the 1-9301-01 format. If you contact Doug Hutchens here on the hangout he may well have more information on your instrument

I have a banjo that started as a 20's TB-1 I believe. Someone put an RB 1 neck on it along with a pyramid tone ring. As one would expect, it's a monster of a banjo. It is one of my all time favorites.

.....I have a 1993 RB-1......nice banjo...played it for a while.....the neck profile is a little wide for my hand these days so I've got it for sale...you can see it on Craigslist from Winston-Salem......in case anyone would like to see some pictures of it....peace
