I recently acquired and old Gibson banjo uke or most of it and I am planning on getting it back together with period correct parts of which a few are missing.

I want to do this to pass on to my new grandson from his grandpa!

Does anyone own one of these babies here on the hangout?

If so, I would love to speak to you about yours and have some questions as to some of the parts as to what was original on them.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Don Bryant in NC

One of your best friends for this is a Google Image search -

google.com/search?q=gibson+UB+...mp;surl=1

And look - tons of pictures!

What I do is look for instruments like what I have, and then save as many pictures as I can to a folder on my computer. I have a folder now with a bunch of sub-folders named with the different instruments I'm working on. You can also save pictures from Ebay, which are often really helpful.

I have 2 ub-2's, and 2 ub-3's. Would be glad to talk to you. Wonderful instruments.
