How long are posts stored or stored once they're archived?
I'm looking for a couple of posts that I used to be able to find in the archived section but now they don't seem to be available. What happened?
Is there a different long term storage site where things were moved to? Do I have to be in the "Players Union" or have a subscription to access archived pages?

So maybe I discovered the partial answer to my own question as there's a "archived topics" button at the bottom of each forum. So I went back in time to 2007 in the collectors forum, but it doesn't appear to be searchable?

It’s inconsistent. Tranches of posts have been lost to computer glitches. The search engine seems dicey. Posts I made within the supposed parameters of retention don’t show up…or maybe they do. It’s a roll of the dice.

When I search, even using the exact words/phrase, more often than not it takes me to archived threads unrelated to my search.

For searching the archives, you get better results using Google, with "site:banjohangout.org/archive {query}"

you tube throws mine away --so it seems anyway--I never leave them here I always delete here after they run their course
