This probably belongs on another forum, but I've spent just about all of my time posting on the Clawhammer/Old-Time forums.
Just realized I signed up for BHO twenty years ago today!
It's been a great ride. I've made a lot of friends and had recourse to the knowledge and experience of some of the greatest banjoistas around (many of whom are just everyday folks).
Thanks to you all for the friendship and conversations.

R. D., I'm not an Old-Time banjo player but I have certainly enjoyed your expertise and insight here on the forum. Thanks for being a great part of this website.

You and your posts have been a joy to have on the Hangout. I had been on BHO less than a year when you came on board—bringing your thoughtful and deep expertise, calmness and wisdom to the site. I’ve been grateful for your presence here, and hope we can enjoy many more years of it.

That’s why this is the best website on the net. Lots of expertise and a close community

Wow! 20 years! You got me curious and I found out I passed to 20 year mark last October. I was actually on BHO several years before Eric made it a rule that you have to officially sign up. BHO continues to be the best banjo site on the web. I am so grateful to BHO/Eric, you R.D., and all the contributors to BHO. I continue to learn all kinds of things banjo and enjoy the banjology sharing. Thanks to all! banjered

Congratulations and thanks, R.D., for your many contributions to this site and to countless banjo players.
Like Banjered, I had to check my start date. Surprised to see that yesterday (March 11) was my 22nd anniversary on BHO. I feel I have gained much more than I have contributed.

It is almost shocking to see how quickly time has flown by. I had to check myself to see when I joined, and was shocked to see it was 16 years ago.
I haven't been on BHO much in the last few years, partly because I could no longer build banjos and could hardly even play one in the last few years because of bad arthritis in my left shoulder.
I came on the other day to post about the newly released Dwight Diller material, and was pleased to see some of my old friends were still hanging around here.
The years fly by so quickly after a certain point.

Same anniversary. What a coincidence.
Thanks to you all for the kind words- the feelings are mutual,

I would like to enthusiastically add my congratulations to old man Lunceford for his long tenure here on the Banjo Hangout. He has always been one of our most valuable contributors, always knowledgeable and encouraging, and never slipping in the occasional snarky jab that most of us have displayed now and again. What do I mean by a snarky jab? Well, like if I pointed out that I beat him by four months! But I won't do that...

Well s***, that went by fast! One of the best things about the BHO is meeting folks like you R.D. that became friends (even if we've never met). Here's to 20 more brother, SF!

I knew of you first from your CD "Drop-Thumb", which my husband had discovered, along with the accompanying tabs. We enjoyed it as a resource for listening to genuine old-time music. It's a highlight of my banjo life to be able to reach out to you via BHO -- a player I respect and admire.

Please add my congratulations to the chorus, R.D. I've always enjoyed your posts here and your and columns in BNL. Looking forward to more in the coming years.
