if you wait longer than (I can't remember - 20 minutes maybe?) the reply actually goes to your email, NOT a notice on your banjo hangout page. So it could be either in your banjo hangout page (somewhere! NOT sure where) or your email! of course you should also check your email spam folder to be sure it didn't get sent there.

FYI: PMs are kept on the Hangout with a notice at the top of the page that you have a PM for 15 minutes. If you're not online at the time, after 15 minutes, the PM should automatically go to your e-mail. The PM is not kept on the Hangout after that 15 minutes, so no use looking for it, it's gone. Check your spam folder in your e-mail account and see if perhaps that's where it is. Or check old e-mails and maybe it's there.

If you viewed it on the Hangout, it wouldn't be/wasn't sent to your e-mail. It is no longer available anywhere that I know of.
FYI: In the future, if you receive a PM and are on line, when you read it, there's a little box that says "send to my email". Click on that and it will go to your e-mail. If not, it's gone.

Not a flaw. There was a thread back a while ago where Eric talked about how much space (wrong word probably) it would take to keep all PMs so sending it to your email helped with that problem.
