I tried to include the link I read, ending in 173838, but I'm not allowed so I have to type all this again. Oy.
My father left me an old, Lange only, 5-string, Orpheum No. 3 banjo. I started playing it last summer and now looking forward to take it to a jam, but I'd love more information, as I'm sure I'll get questions. It has 21 frets and eight inlay designs along the neck (see pictures). I have found none like it online. I believe it was the last of the Orpheum line. There is no serial number, which I understand sometimes require removal of hardware - not my thing. From reading the thread above, I understand Lange pivoted once he became sole owner to another line of banjo in 1922/1923, only making his own Orpheum for a year or so.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
