I just saw this and wondered if anyone here had seen one yet? I'm not interested in one myself but probably someone will find a good use for it. I wasn't impressed by what I saw in the video The Bender Button!

Buck Trent invented something like this in the 1960s. Functioned as both the bridge and a tremolo/whammy bar. Replaced eventually by string puller buttons.
If anyone wants to sound like Mr. Buck, they'll need something like this! Only better engineered and integrated.

With it fitting on the strings between the tailpiece and the bridge, I can foresee all kinds of problems with tuning. I think I would rather stick with the D tuners.

Back when I was a teen in the late 1960s Jimmy Cox showed me a rig he had literally invented to pull on a string down at the tailpiece, activated by a chain hooked to his belt loop. He had to "push" the banjo away from his hip to make it work.
Even at that young age I thought "he's trying too hard..."

It's not something I'd want, but it looks like it raises your hand high enough that all of your fingers become unanchored from the head. If you're already having trouble keeping your fingers on the head, this could actually be a plus, keeping your hand somewhat fixed, even if you never use it for its intended purpose.
