For sale, A full sounding and easy playing Karl Hofner standard 3/4 size Upright Bass from 1960. Made in Germany and fully labeled, it has a fresh bill of health and a professional setup from Old Town Violin Shop, in Lexington, Kentucky which I highly recommend for work. It is an great condition with some cosmetic edging to the sides which is common in an older vintage upright bass. 41 inch string length, It does have a older neck repair, from 40 years plus years ago and honestly, I would have to show you where it is because it is that good of a repair. Adjustable Bridge, and features Diaddario Hybrid Helicore Strings. It features beautiful engraved brass tuning machines, also included is a brand new soft case. The bass has a big,full mature sound to it and is completely ready to go for onstage and off stage. I will attach a copy of the original upright bass page from the 1960 Hofner catalog.
