This guitar is as new mint that I got in trade from an Eastman dealer. It is hands down, the all time best bang for the buck. This sounds better than a Martin standard D 28 guitar for less than half the cost. Solid Adirondack Spruce Top with forward shifted scalloped Adirondack bracing. East Indian Rosewood back and sides. Eastman has grown into a preeminent string instrument company across the board. They have it all covered and are producing Acoustic and Electric guitars that rival the Gibson and Martin guitars that they are based upon for up to half the cost of their American competitors. Their innovations are striking and arguably surpass their American counterparts. It is the dawn of a new era for string instrument companies based in China. I have no idea how American companies can hope to compete. There is no longer any stigma to buying an Asian made instrument. Those days are gone and many professional musicians are playing Asian made instruments and for very good reason. Why spend more than double the cost for an American instrument that may not even be as good as its Asian counterpart? This guitar and all of the others in the new Eastman line are taking off and will ultimately surpass sales of high end American guitars. This example is spectacular. OHSC
