For sale is a vintage B&D (Bacon & Day) Plectrum Banjo No. 1, serial number 26195, dating to approximately 1928. Made during the height of the Jazz Age in Groton, Connecticut, this banjo comes from one of the most respected American banjo manufacturers of the era.
This is a true four-string plectrum banjo with the longer neck preferred by traditional jazz, ragtime, and chord melody players. B&D instruments are well known for their craftsmanship, powerful tone, and historical significance.
