For your consideration is a Nechville 20-hole nickel-plated bronze tone ring in mint condition (no kidding, mint!!!). Please note that this tone ring is for Nechville banjos only and might not work on other rim assemblies. Anyway, this is the tone ring that started it all for Nechville. It's metallurgic wizardry allows it to impart a full spectrum of banjonic (is that even a real word?) tones, but also due in part to the incredibly adjustable nature of the Nechville banjo itself.
I joined the "banjo revolution" many years ago when I acquired my first Nechville banjo. Unfortunately my tired, aching back refused to join said revolution and insisted I sit on my keister when playing this banjo. I then learned about the lightweight Timber-Tronic wood tone rings that Nechville was offering and the rest, as they say, is history.
So now my heavy 20-hole tone ring has been lingering in a darkened closet, weeping bitter tears of regret, and pining for the glory days when it beat as the musical heart of my Nechville banjo. Please, please do not allow this tone ring to continue to wallow in self-pity and doubt. Give it purpose. Give it life. Give it a new home!!! Okay, I'm laying it on a bit thick here, but this tone ring really deserves to find another Nechville banjo 'in need' so it can realize its full musical potential and worth. Any takers...?
