Here's a deal on a 1929 Granada tenor made just before the changeover to the one-piece-flange design. The tension hoop, hooks and nuts, armrest, and one washer are newer replacements but the banjo retains its original rim, forty-hole raised-head tone ring, resonator with particularly nice figure, Grover DeLuxe "clamshell" tailpice, and Grover DeLuxe "two-band" tuners with real mother-of-pearl buttons. Lot #9356 is basically "ground zero" for zinc pest, which probably explains what happened to the original tension hoop. There's moderate fret wear to the original tenor neck and the banjo is equipped with a #401-N head guard, a period option available from Gibson prior to World War II; part of the head guard has been cut away. The banjo retains its original finish throughout. The name "Steve Kish" has been scratched into the truss-rod cover. The head is a vintage Vegalon Weatherproof and the case is a newer hard shell. More photos available upon request. Sorry, no trades. Thanks for looking!
