This is a Mike Ramsey 2014 Walnut Woody banjo with a 12 inch pot and an African Bubinga wooden tone-ring. I purchased this banjo directly from Mike Ramsey in early 2014 and he mentioned in one of our transaction-emails that the banjo is made of "old-growth" walnut that was cut across from his farm in Virginia. The banjo comes with a four-star J.D. Balch goatskin head, Lokota Leathers buffalo skin shoulder strap, brass "no-knot" style tailpiece, and a Donald New spill-way dam style bridge that was made from 100 year old barn-oak. The banjo’s scale-length is 26 inches and it comes with a locking Superior case with two keys that is also in excellent condition. I used it mainly for practice for two years, then it went into storage for two years.
