Hi: I'm Charles from NC. Not exactly an abs. beg. but have only been playing 3 yrs. Spent most of that time working on mechanics and not on learning songs. It seems to have paid off, and now its easier to work with tabs.

lg9455 says: 6/15/2011 1:34:29 PM If you are calling "mechanics" rolls and scales good on you. I am working on the rolls now. I have discovered that I am a tactal learner. I can get it if someone shows me but tab, well that is a different story. I can read tab and I understand tab but I can't play from tab. I guess I will have to learn by ear.
