Boy, do I belong in this category of Absolute Beginners. I did start playing banjo first as a teen, but it fell by the wayside. So, I'm giving it a go once again, 30-some years later. I am buying a Deering Goodtime Classic Special from a guy here on the BHO. I should get it in 2-4 weeks.

I'm both excited and nervous. I'm used to playing woodwind instruments and worried about how I'll do with a stringed instrument.

I'll let you know how it goes.
