Hey everyone! Just wondering if you can give any tips to an absolute beginner on the banjo? I've played many instruments before, and I'm sure with some practice and rep ill get the banjo down, but is there any little things i should know before i start playing?

	nfshakespeare says: 7/7/2013 5:51:32 AM I'll pass on something that was told to me, get a metronome. It's too easy to rush ahead or lag behind the beat when you're practicing rolls. Once you've practiced them that way, getting them back to right is a bear.
rgoad says: 7/7/2013 6:36:34 AM Nf is right, of course. Since you already play other instruments you may already have one. Your back ground in bass and drums will serve you well. What style are you playing? Scruggs?
