I had been playing now for about 2 1/2 months with no experience in any music or instrument, I feel I'm doing okay but get frustrated when doing songs or rolls that you have to thumb pick the 4th string. I seem to hit it sometimes but hit the 5th string most of the time. Is there any exercise other than practice that can help me hit the 4th without looking.

Any advise will help, thank you

Practice, practice, practice. It will come to you. Have you tried the Saddle thumb pick? I've found it to be excellent. Refer to Richard's comment to my blog entry, "Picks or no picks" in the Group Blogs on the right of the screen.
