finger picks

From TKarrow on 1/25/2014 4:28:57 PM

To me finger picks seem clumsy because I can't tell by feel where the strings are but I found these on amazon.com and I like them a lot..  http://www.amazon.com/Stainless-Steel-Finger-Picks-Guitar/dp/B000NGVQKO/ref=sr_1_7?s=musical-instruments&ie=UTF8&qid=1390695871&sr=1-7&keywords=finger+picks

I wound up switching to frailing but when I go back to bluegrass, I'm sure going to use these..

Well, the link doesn't work I guess, but they have a cut-out where the finger pad is so you can feel the strings-- cool..

Link works OK for me, but the big question is do these open picks help? I may be to used to the regular picks I have been using.

I'm a beginner and I'm trying different things to see what works for me.. I reckon it is a matter of whatever works for YOU is the right way to go.. The only way to find out is to try them I guess..

I have tried National ,Dunlop ,Pro picks and they all just don't hit the strings correctly because I have broken mostly all of my fingers at one time over the years. I have just tried the Ernie Ball picks and man what a difference. They work great for me.
