I started this group as a place to discuss the playing of Allen Shelton. I'm sure that there will be lots to post in here.

Honky Tonk Banjo #1 says: 3/23/2014 4:36:28 PM I've got two of Allen Shelton's solo albums that I pretty much wore out.Dubbed them onto cassette and am pretty far into wear them out too.Man,the guy could play!! Where the two solo albums all the solos albums that he recorded?

darylearl says: 3/24/2014 7:30:03 AM I have Shelton Special and 5 String dobro and banjo on vinyl (both autographed by Allen). After seeing Allen with Jim and Jesse in the 80's I bought a 5 string dobro that I still play today. Very cool instrument.
