We all have one that we go back to over and over and over and over again. It catches some part of us -- burning, lustful, violent, taboo, ugly, charming, wrong -- but it's all welcome.

Which track keeps you going through the day? In my demented hopes, I would like to make it through the entire anthology track by track and do breakdowns and indiv. recordings. But for now, let just say our fav track.

Mine is Uncle Dave's rendition of "Way Down the Old Plank Road" which may be lame cause everyone could pick it, but I picked first SO THERE. Here's a copy of it.

It's notified me that I need to get to the Holy Modal Rounders as soon as reasonable. If your pick is the Uncle Dave piece with all that percussive foot-tappin', then I'll agree to that. It's got all the drive and ferocity and sticky melody of a great punk rock song. But I'm new to the set, so I won't have a real favorite for at least a couple of weeks. All the blues tracks are awesome, and that song about the sinking of the Titanic is perfect. All in all the collection just reminds me how much I have to learn.
