Hi Banjo lovers! Just a week to go til the Newport Fiddle & Folk Club's new Banjo group begins and you're all welcome.

Both clawhammer and bluegrass techniques will be taught.

Bookings important! We need to know if we have the numbers to go ahead each month.

Meeting twice a month:

1. Last Friday of the month: Structured group lesson. With the fantastic Peter Somerville $10 NFFC members/$12 non-members

2. 2nd Friday of every month: Unstructured practice session. No leader, just playing through what Peter’s taught and slow jamming $3/$5

Upcoming dates:

November 28 - Lesson

December 12 - Practice

January 30 - Lesson

February 13 - Practice

February 27 - Lesson

March 13 - Practice

March 27 - Lesson

April 10 - Practice

6:30-7:30pm, Newport Scout Hall, Market St, Newport

Straight after each session, the folk club has their "Club Night" (lesson nights) and "Open Stage" (practice nights) events. Plenty of other instrumentalists and folkies will be showing up so jamming and hanging out are definitely an option!
