Just found this group! Been scratching around the banjo for about 2 years now - progress patchy but love it. Just wanted to say hello and increase my limited network. 67, no previous music experience, limited access to direct input from others up here on the mid-north coast NSW, although I do have a teacher locally who has been playing for 40+ years. May try to find a good teacher as far as Sydney (if there's no one between here and there) for occasional extra input - any recommendations appreciated. Great to see you all on here...

JStuart says: 3/15/2016 7:49:59 PM Hi Dave, I'm up there occasionally, and only yesterday booked my spot in Maleny for this year's Banjo conference - I had a ball at the last one, but was only very new to the banjo then (don't feel much more advanced now really lol!). Did a couple of trips to Nambour when I was buying my banjo from Wendy Holman back in 2014 - the Sunny Coast hinterland is pretty nice I reckon. Will let you know when I'm up that way again! Jamie
