Hi Guys,

There I was minding my own business when I walked into an antique/junk shop and came face to face with a reso-tone 5 string banjo. It was dirty, missing the 5th tuner with no resonator, but otherwise in decent shape. Asking price $34. The owner of the place owed me a few bucks, so we settled on $22.

I took it apart (not much to that), cleaned it, installed a 5th tuner and reassembled. I can not believe how good it sounds.

I would like to attach a resonator. To this end I've purchased a conduit hanger (as per FiveStringPop). I have a couple of wooden resonators in the shop, but I'd rather have the real thing.

So brothers, does anyone have a reso resonator they could part with at a reasonable price?

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

	wizofos says: 12/1/2017 4:41:57 PM Sorry no resonator but congrats on getting a deal like that. Mine is a long neck that I got for $50 and had been cleaned and set up but had been left. The previous owner had played it on stage with a local band. Have fun
