Hi friends,just joined your group.
I also have a STAMM longneck that has the same treatment, and it is 60 years old and still straight.
They stood the flatbar up on its edge so it won't flex and would stay flat. Whether aluminum or steel, they work pretty good.
I also used the same technique on my first bamboo jackrabbit.
I used a piece of Jatoba stood up on its edge, it's been ten years.
