Welp, I have yet to decorate a banjo head, but I'm about to start. We spent the whole day trying to find the source of That Horrible Cat Pee Smell, before I finally localized it to the head of my banjo. My brand new banjo. The new banjo I wanted for sitting out in the garden.

Yeah, we have this strapping great feral tomcat (with all his original parts) we keep around the yard for varmint control. I guess he took a fancy to my new 'jo and marked it as his own. I found and scrubbed out the wee trail, but it's still pretty pungent.

So! This is my first Fiberskyn head. Anyone have any recommendations for media? I was a professional illustrator in a former life, so I have ink and nibs, plus those fancy little artists markers.Going for a black and white drawing. Anyone tried getting the Remo logo off Fiberskyn with acetone?

Bad cat:-( RE: Removing factory labels/graphics from heads: Solvents such as lacquer thinner, nail polish remover, etc. would dissolve coated finish on coated heads as well as the graphic. A less toxic solvent that apparently works very well is Citrus Strip (surfkoat.com/citrus_strip).
