Hi, I've recently joined this group. I've owned a Gold Tone Banjolele for a few years but never did much with it due to the lousy friction tuners on it. Now that I've retired I want to play it and need to change these. Any recommendations? I saw in the reviews that someone used Grover Champions but I'm not sure which model. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Dave Drew

	cb56 says: 9/13/2012 4:59:24 AM I've heard that Gold Tone has started using different/better friction tuners now. Maybe email Wayne Rogers at Gold tone and see if they will sell you a set of replacement tuners. He's always answered my emails within 24 hours. Worth a try anyway.
	TLG says: 9/13/2012 5:47:00 AM The very reason I don't use friction tuners on my banjo ukes. I use geared GROVER ukulele machines. Yes, they look like guitar machines but you can tune the uke & it stays in tune. Tommy
