I've bought and perused most of the available clawhammer tab and instruction books...well, many anyway. And I have decided that so far my favorites are:
"Clawhammer Banjo" by Miles Krassen
"Banjo Without Tears" by Hilary Dirlam
"The Banjo Companion" by Hilary Dirlam
"The All-In-One Old Time Jam Book" by Mary Gordon and Hilary Dirlam.
The first one is a true classic. I've learned a huge amount from it.
The last three are available from Celestial Mountain Music store in Brevard, NC or its online store, www.celestialmountainmusic.com. They have a new book of 32 more tabs coming out shortly.
