N0EVC (Russ), Amateur Extra Class since 1983. First licensed as a Novice in the old (crystal-controlled 75-watt) days as WN6ONT over 50 years ago, which makes me, in ARRL parlance, an "old, old timer".
I keep thinking about getting one of those cool 1x2 or 2x1 calls, or even a vanity call, but then I'd have to have new QSL cards printed . . .
Favorite mode is still CW using a Vibroplex bug. Favorite band has always been 40 meters.

Full tag since maybe 1990. Liked CW, bought a paddle. Iambic keyer in my old Yaesu FT901DM/all mode. Do not even know if the caps in the finals would hold a charge. Why 15m is my favorite, I do not know.

WB4H Fred, Extra class since early 90's, First licensed in 1974 as WD4NYM, Later upgraded to general in 1978, Advance in 1980,s as KO4WL. Changed my call to AD4TM when getting Extra. .Bought WB4H in 2000. Am in love with CW but haven't been active in several years. Have 2 vibroplex bugs I use thru my old TS830s Kenwoood. Spent most of my time on 40 or 15 meters using a 40 meter diapole on both bands.
I have been beating up the guitar for years but just got the plectrum banjo for my birthday at the beginning of October, using Chicago tuning to speed up the learning curve.

WV2VFV in 1961, then WA2VFV (horrible CW call!). Moved to NH. Got WA1RFI, got my extra and in 1976 (bicentennial year) extras were allowed to get any call they wanted. Got my initial call N1WR then. Member PVRC, love contesting. Work with emcomm.

G3ZDM, (full A class) licensed since 1969. Mainly do 1.3 GHz and up, including ATV. Used to also help with contests in a local group here in Manchester, UK.

First licensed at age 11 (1963) as WN6GZT. Believe it or not, I had a second novice call assigned when our family moved to Denver, WN0IVP. My first station was a Knight Kit T-60 transmitter and a surplus RME-45 receiver. General at age 13 (WA0MZT), Advanced at 16 (WB2ZJR), but didn't work on the Extra until after college (BS/MS Electrical Engineering). I became N7RF in ~1977 while working at Motorola in Scottsdale, AZ. Was heavily involved then with the Motorola Amateur Radio Club of Arizona (MARCA), which still exists today even though Motorola is long gone. Currently, I still work as an engineer, and am the president of the Kendall (County, Texas) Amateur Radio Society for the past 3 years.
I tried banjo in high school and college but didn't progress very far. I have played guitar since age 19, mostly at church, and decided to try the banjo again 6 years ago after my dad kept pestering me to go with him to the monthly Texas-wide bluegrass jam in Pearl, Texas. It's been downhill ever since. Am now a regular at the CTBA Monday-in-a-Jam jam in San Antonio. I'm also a year into learning to play the fiddle. I hope to retire within 2 years and play even more bluegrass than I do now.
