This May, my wife and I are traveling in our RV from the West Coast to visit a number of states including Tennessee, North and South Carolina, Mississippi and Louisiana. We would love to hear some live bluegrass gospel music and am wondering if anyone has recommendations to places (including churches) that might feature such wonderful music. Many thanks.

	60spicker says: 3/16/2016 1:54:02 PM Hi Jack, Give a listen on Sunday mornings to "Cumberland Sunday Morning" on WDVX in Knoxville, TN. Lewell & Lora Molen run a recording studio there, and the show is entirely bluegrass gospel. There's ALWAYS music in that neck of the woods, although I'm unfamiliar with Knoxville. Lora and Lewell are your best bet. Good luck and enjoy the South. We're not all nuts, LOL. Terry

	CAPT Steve says: 3/16/2016 10:41:04 PM Hey Jack--you don't include much info in your profile, and California is a rather large state, so I don't know how close to Fresno or Modesto you live. However, if you're within driving distance the 18th, 19th or 20th of this month, get out to see Southern Raised. These kids can sing and play, their message is solid and their music is very uplifting. Young group originally from Arkansas and living in the Branson area now. Oldest is 28, youngest 18. Were originally classically trained (they do a portion of Vivaldi's Four Seasons on fiddle, guitar, banjo and bass in their concerts); started with these instruments 8-9 years ago. If this doesn't work, check out their website to see if they have any dates that correspond to when you'll be east. Absolutely worth the effort.

However, we might be able to swing by Branson on the date they will be there. I went to their web site and absolutely love them. Of course I love everything Banjo, but the girl can also sing. This is awesome and I thank you so much.
	CAPT Steve says: 3/17/2016 9:22:42 AM If you play guitar at all,Matthew, the young man, all 18 years of him, will almost make you want to quit. He's terrific, reminds me of a young Josh Williams, who plays with Rhonda Vincent. He also arranges a lot of the music they do, Sarah, their banjo player, has developed an interesting style; I think she brings some of her classical training into the phrases she plays so she adds a lot of color to the music. I'm glad that you enjoyed what you saw; hope that you can catch them in Branson on your travels. I suspect you'll find their concert worth plugging into your trip. We're looking forward to seeing them here in NW Florida in November (soonest they'll be anywhere close enough for us this year). Grace
