I will have to delete my previous post, seeking a Buckeye, as I received mine new/old #39 last night, and am delighted to officially join this merry band of Buckeye banjer owners. At almost 9 years old, it's still in fine fettle, looking and sounding good, with a gorgeous maple neck and 12" pot.

As Greg already knows, I'll be shipping it back to him for a little tweaking and hardware/head change, and will be posting some pix shortly.

It's a very sweet piece with lots of good karma, as it was Greg's own instrument a couple of owners ago.

	banjochuck says: 1/28/2016 9:04:24 AM Thanks, Brent. Yes, you are so right! I hadn't seen any Buckeyes surface for months, even years, and then, in one week, two of them arise out of the ether. I grabbed the more simply appointed of the two, and it turns out to have been Greg's own piece from some years ago. As I'm planning on changing the hardware, perhaps I'll post some before/after photos, just for the comparison.

	banjochuck says: 1/28/2016 9:39:08 AM Yes, that very customized banjer was lovely, and well out of my price range, too. As far as my proposed modifications, I'm going to have Greg change the nickel-played hardware to antiqued brass, and put a goatskin head on it, and install one of his new tailpieces, if they're ready. I think it'll look great, and sound a bit darker, with a nice dollop of "plunkitude".
