I have played banjo for maybe 15 years; guitar since the mid 1960s. I really like the cello banjo sound. I haven't seen one except on youtube clips. I am making my own since I am retired and have more time than money. I have some dimensions from off the Internet. I bought a Gibson fretboard for it. The Gibson has a 24.562 scale length while the Cello Banjo has 24.75. I don't think that little discrepancy will affect it much, will it? If so, I guess I could move the bridge a quarter inch closer. I have just about finished the neck and will be starting on the 14 inch rims soon. I am still a long ways away from working on the nut and strings, but I wondered if anyone had measurements of how far apart the string are spaced on the nut? And how far above the fretboard, they are? I suppose they would be a little higher than my 5 string since they are bigger strings.
