-- upper $900s is close to retail price, and IMHO you can do much, much better by keeping an eye on the classifies in both the Banjo Hangout and the Mandolin Cafe. One of favorite shopping tools is GBase, a site that indexes gear from all around the country.

Paul Roberts sells Gold Tones at prices equal to or better than what you'd get on eBay, plus better service and free shipping. Call him and you might get even a better deal.

And Gold Tone is far from your only choice! Shop around, keep an open eye --
