A guy at the Thursday night OT jam I go to brought a Cello Guitar that he had made from a junked guitar. He had taken the frets out, filled in the spaces, and switched to four tuners (as opposed to the original six) and put on the same strings that are used on a Cello Banjo. When I walked in the back door, I heard someone playing what I immediately knew to be a cello something. The guy makes guitars, and he decided to do this when someone gave him a truly junked guitar. He fixed it up, and now he has a Cello Guitar. It sounds very similar to a Cello Banjo.
