I had to replace my first string last week, and I only then realized how minimalist the tailpiece is on a GT 5-string cello banjo. Has anyone experimented with other tailpieces? If so, what? Just wondering. Thanks.

	Paul Roberts says: 4/1/2014 4:14:22 PM Someone once posted that he changed to the tailpiece that comes on the CEB-4 because it has more mass. I don't remember how he said it may have changed the tone. The stock tailpiece has worked fine for me. I've been keeping it with the least amount of downward pressure possible, which gives me the best tone. If I were to try something different I'd go with this goldtone.com/products/details/...-5-String I have one on my Soundbird tenor and I consider it a very fine piece. Pricey but superlative quality.
