New to Cello - any advice ?

My new GoldTone CEB 5 arrived this morning. I think it probably needs a tweak in the head-tension but at the moment I am just coming to grips with the sound of my tunes being an octave lower than I'm used to. Reminds me a little of the sound I remember from slowing tunes to 1/2 speed on my reel-to-reel recorder many years ago :)

The action seems to be OK, but the wider neck and fatter strings will take some getting used to.

Anyway - I'm happy but would appreciate any setup tips for cello banjo.

I do offer a suggestion on playing the beast. Treat it gently... The temptation will be to make some big sound! And it will be lots of fun... Learn how to coax its subtleties first, then bring the thunder. You won't be disappointed. I went straight to the boom, and got lost for awhile... :)
