Hello! My name is Mike. Just joined the BHO a few days ago, saw this group and decided to join. I'm a beginner at the banjo. Haven't even played my first song yet, lol.

I have the Peter Wernick book as well as "Earl Scruggs and the 5 string Banjo". Learning from those as well as the Geoff Hohwald video, "Introduction to the 5 String Banjo".

I'm an active church member and Sunday School teacher who plays the piano, guitar and bass. My father gave me a cheap Rogue
Banjo,so I'm on my way.

I'm also an amateur guitar builder, so I've taken the time to set the banjo up well so that it plays well. It will do until I actually can play one well enough to justify more expense for a better one.

I look forward to the day when I can pick up the banjo during services and play it as well as the other instruments already mentioned.
