different tailpiece?

howdy, has anybody the tailpiece on their RB-75.I'm thinking of trying a Cox instead of the factory Presto. After much tweaking I have found that this banjo sounds like I like it with the tailpiece 5/16" off the head. I have had Prestos in the past fail and was thinking about something a little more stable. Has anybody tried this,and what did it do to the sound?

	banjoez says: 2/14/2011 7:49:15 AM 5/16" off the head is perfect for a 75. If your happy with the sound with the standard Presto then leave it alone. You can buy replacement Prestos really cheap if your worried about an unlikely failure down the line.
momo says: 8/10/2011 5:12:51 PM The Cox Tailpiece is good one. Very much like a Price (Jimmy built the first batch of Price Tailpieces). It will change the tone of the Banjo..it just depends if you like the change.A Crowe Banjo should have a Presto tailpiece to give it that "classic" tone.
