Well I started this group because of the feedback we were getting on the forum, so hope to be able to have discussions on Docs particular brand of Banjo, most know that they are a slightly different animal.

I do not, as yet have one, but it is ordered, a Baroque with internal resonator and am impatiently awaiting it's arrival.

I thought perhaps a resource and help from others may be of an advantage, specifically with setups etc. but probably no more than Doc would tell you himself if you were to phone, but he is a busy man.

May also be of help for those that are looking to buy, I know myself that I looked for this type of resource to give me an idea and a better understanding.

So those with a Doc's Banjo, Please post your thoughts.

Your #150 was the one I fell in love with and prompted me to buy a Doc's, when I spoke to Doc first up I was only after an entry model and was still trying to decide between his and a Romero, and then I saw #150, case closed. I have listened to the samples time and again, now I've heard your CD samples, loved it, need to place an order. Clawhammer was something I'd never heard or more to the point didn't know what I was listening to, I've only been going 6mths, started out picking and still going but trying to pick up and practice claw as well as the temptation is a lot greater and the sound a lot sweeter. Had an email from Doc today saying that mine is all done and ready for postage, so looking forward to it's arrival, so in between I'll put in the time practicing. Welcome to the group darren and I'll look forward to reading your comments.
