I'm thinking of buying a Remo renaissance diplomat head for my Epiphone mb200. Does it need to be high, medium or low collar for the mb200?

In my experience a high crown will stretch to the point where the tension hoop will be pulled below the level of the rim. If you have the original hooks on theat MB200, they will bend before you get the head as tight as it needs to be. I got some sturdier hooks for mine as well.

	Klondike Waldo says: 4/30/2012 8:18:55 AM Dan, I did not change the tailpiece, as it came with a Waverly-type to start with. ( I did tray a atrainghtline, but put the Waverly back on- just liked it better. I'm currently using acompensated bridge from arthur Hartfield. I'm using Saga Hooks , round type rather than the flat hooks the Epi came with, because the original were too soft.
	Dan-Ban says: 4/30/2012 8:44:36 AM Much obliged. One more thing: the strings should go under the Waverley tailpiece, yes? That's how they came and look on a photo of the Epi. I've read elsewhere though on BHO that they should go on top. So I'm a bit confused
	Klondike Waldo says: 4/30/2012 9:00:54 AM starting from the loops on the pins at the rear of the tailpiece, over the top of the plat par, down through the "key holes" on the front edge( except the G which goes through a hole), so passing under the front edge up top the bridge. I'll post a photo later.
