what's the difference between "crowe" spacing on a bridge and standard spacing?

	MightyMOBanjo says: 9/12/2012 9:41:55 AM Don't know the exact spacing, but Crowe spacing is "wider'. And on some banjos, (i have read) it is to wide for the neck. The only problem that I have with Crowe spacing is pull offs on the 1st string. I seem to pull the 1st string off the neck, I pull down. So I have just switched back to regular spacing.

I think T Baucom used close to 50mm? 48 or 49 something like that… Whatever suits you really.. But yep, pulloffs on the 1st can be a problem on a narrow neck...
