I've got a MB250 with this tailpiece with a buzz that will kill your concentration..I once glued a strip of felt under the clamshell which I think helped, but eventually, it fell out somewhere. That was because the clamshell is concave. The spring that holds the shell part down to the string-holder has apparently stretched over the years to a point where it doesn't hold the shell down flat. Any suggestions? I went to Sam Ash and their next to the bottom Ep banjos still are issued with this tailpiece. It's substantial and attractive, I just can't stand the buzz. Maybe I could install a new spring, but I dunno where to get such a thing.
