I play a Clifford Essex Paragon original five string and also possess an extra five string neck I bought "just in case" I had a fatal accident with the other.

I love this banjo and replaced a Bart Reiter Whyte Laydie with it.

I loved the Reiter, but was attracted to the vintageness of the Essex.

I've not played that many old vintage banjos, but this thing is a machine, in my opinion.

	muzzlehatch says: 1/25/2015 9:14:44 AM Yes, I love my XX special, its around 100 years old now and I don't think that I could ever part with it. Unfortunately the neck has twisted and warped a little which makes it a bit of a challenge to play. Does anybody know of any luthier in the midlands who could fix it?

	muzzlehatch says: 1/27/2015 4:26:56 AM Thanks for that, Charlie. Galway is a bit further away than I had hoped - but nowhere near as far away as it is from your good self - and Ireland does have a postal service. If I cannot find anybody closer then maybe I will try to contact them.
