So, I will ask the forum, what is their thoughts and likes/dislikes about banjo picks. I bought some new picks, Propick angled picks for the fingers and a plastic pick mounted on a metal wrap for the thumb. The angled picks seem to work pretty good, I think the thumb pick seems too long and I hit the skin head too much.

What do you use for your banjo playing? Thanks!

	G says: 4/17/2014 12:10:46 PM I use propiks ... I like the angled ones but have used the straight ones more in the last year or so. Don't know why :) As for thumbpick, I went from what I guess is a pretty standard plastic Dunlop or something like that, to METAL thumbpicks. I always thought they'd be noisy and harder to use, but Al uses metal and said he likes them - if for no other reason than you'll never break them or wear them out. Now I REALLY like the metal thumbpick. Don't think I'd ever go back.
	Kirk Jacobs says: 4/17/2014 12:54:24 PM First let me say, picks are like tone, a lot has to do with personal taste. With that said as far as thumbpicks go I use one called a Saddle Thumb pick. Finger picks I use np2 nationals for one banjo and I like the sound of lil Roys own for my other banjo.
